In “The Rum Diary,” based off the Hunter S. Thompson novel, Paul Kemp (Johnny Depp) is a freelance journalist who finds himself at a critical turning point in his life while writing for a run-down newspaper in the Caribbean. And yes, that was a bedazzled turtle.
