The results are in, and “The Lion King 3-D” surprised everybody by earning more than the weekend’s three new releases in total. “Drive” did well with arthouse fans, but failed to make a mark on the mainstream. “Straw Dogs” (2011) and “I Don’t Know How She Does It” failed to gain any traction whatsoever. This weekend’s box office totals are as follows for the top 10:
 “The Lion King” (in 3D) – $30,151,614
 “Contagion” – $14,548,433
 “Drive” (2011) – $11,340,461
 “The Help” – $6,513,039
 “Straw Dogs” (2011) – $5,123,760
 “I Don’t Know How She Does It” – $4,402,201
