‘The Wolf Among Us: Episode 3 – A Crooked Mile’ review: And the plot thickens

‘A Crooked Mile’ tantalizingly moves the story forward

Machinations begin to slowly, agonizingly creep forward in “The Wolf Among Us'” newest episode, “A Crooked Mile.” The premise of this episode is to take the long view, to start fleshing out characters and unfurling plot lines long since shrouded in mystery. And maybe we get to beat the pulp out of some vile antagonists. All in all, it’s a win-win for the gamer in all of us.

“A Crooked Mile” continues the story of Bigby (aka the Big Bad Wolf) as he deals with the heavy, devastating events concluding Episode 2. We’re still on the search for Faith’s and Lilly’s killer, and we follow the leads to a variety of locales, including a penthouse, a pub and a funeral. All the while, we have to continue making the morally tough decisions that have become synonymous with Telltale. As with previous episode, each choice we make influences what happens in the future, helping to charter your own narrative.

As you work “A Crooked Mile,” you’ll notice a few significant changes from past episodes. For one, you tend to have more time to respond to the multitude of game-altering conversations you find yourself a part of. Which is fantastic, because I’m sure you’ll find yourself conflicted almost every time as you try to navigate between what you believe to be right and what you’d rather accomplish.
