Opening Friday:
“Race” (PG-13): Stephan James stars as the legendary track and field star Jesse Owens as he competes in the 1936 World Olympics in Hitler-era Berlin.
“The Witch” (R): In writer-director Robert Eggers’ highly-anticipated horror movie, a farmer and his family are forced to move to a remote stretch of land where supernatural things happen.
“Risen” (PG-13): Joseph Fiennes and Tom Felton are two Roman soldiers assigned to disprove the rumors of Jesus Christ’s risen Messiah in this retelling of the Biblical resurrection.
“Forsaken” (R): Donald and Kiefer Sutherland play father and son in this story of a gunslinger who returns to his hometown to ward off a gang of criminals terrorizing the locals.
“Touched with Fire” (R): Katie Holmes and Luke Kirby star as two manic depressives who fall in love during a stay at a psychiatric hospital.
