I’m going to be perfectly honest: I would trust Johnny Depp to be the town sheriff, hands down. Which is why “Rango,” the animated feature coming to theaters this weekend, looks so good. Rango (Depp’s voiceover character) finds himself in a lawless town that is in desperate need of some law enforcement. What follows, I’m sure, are going to be some crazy antics. The modeling and photography look absolutely stunning, so this should be a joy to watch.

“Rango” will be in theaters Friday, March 4. It’s rated PG and runs 107 minutes.
