What’s opening in theaters this week

DEVIL’S DUE (R): A newlywed couple returns from their honeymoon and discover they’re going to be parents. But their child may not be human. Could it be … Satan?
JACK RYAN: SHADOW HUNTER (PG-13): Chris Pine takes over from Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck as Tom Clancy’s government-agent hero. The movie, about a financial terrorist plot, is based on an original screenplay by David Koepp and directed by Kenneth Branagh, who also co-stars.
THE NUT JOB (PG): Will Arnett, Brendan Fraser, Liam Neeson and Katherine Heigl provide the voices for this animated adventure about a squirrel and a rat plotting a nut store heist.
RIDE ALONG (PG-13): In the new comedy by director Tim Story (“Think Like a Man,” “Barbershop”) a security guard (Kevin Hart) goes on a 24-hour patrol with a cop (Ice Cube) in order to prove himself worthy of marrying the policeman’s sister.
