Firefly moves ‘Stronghold Crusader 2’ back to Sept. 23

Firefly Studios has announced that the release date for “Stronghold Crusader 2,” its coming RTS “castle sim” sequel, has been moved back from September 2 to September 23.

Simon Bradbury, Creative Director of Firefly Studios said, “Over the past two years we have stuck to our mantra that the sequel to Stronghold Crusader will be ‘ready when it’s ready’ and, although we hate having to delay the release, this is the best course of action for everyone. Our closed beta gave us vital feedback from the Stronghold community and the Crusader 2 team feels that the game needs more polish before we release it. We love being in control of our own destiny, unlike with Stronghold 3, and not being forced to release a game too early.

“Stronghold Crusader 2” will be released on Steam and in stores on September 23, 2014. The game can be pre-ordered on Steam with 10% off, exclusive mini-campaigns and more: http://store.steampowered.com/app/232890/

‘Fallen A2P Protocol’ will combine RPG elements, tactical combat, turn-based gameplay mechanics and dynamic weather effects

Red Katana, an independent Arentinian studio, has been working on “Fallen A2P Protocol” for more than a year. Now, when the game reached alpha stage, developers want to invite all genre fans to take active part in the development process by helping chose most wanted features, prioritizing them and deciding about what additional content should be implemented.

“Fallen A2P Protocol” takes place in the near future, in a drastically altered dystopian world. In 2125 mega corporation GENKORP unveiled A2P, a new power source to fuel humanity’s thirst for expansion and satisfy the needs of an ever-growing global population. GENKORP quickly rose in influence and fashioned itself the ultimate military-industrial complex, controlling access not only to the primary source of global energy but also crafting a military force that easily dwarfed all others.

Although touted as perfectly safe and environmentally friendly, there were those that foresaw the danger of A2P and an unchecked corporation. Known as ARKANE, and quickly branded as ‘terrorists’, this opposition group organized around a common principle: stopping the unchecked growth of GENKORP and halting A2P.

The developer is raising funds on Kickstarter for the game further development with the goal being set at $75,000 and only 12 more days to go. You can check out and support the game here: Fallen A2P Protocol Kickstarter Campaign

‘Anomaly 2’ coming to PS4 next month

After a bit-longer-than-expected, “Anomaly 2” is all set up to hit PS4. The tower offense strategy — or reversed tower defense if you prefer – game will land in Full HD on PS4 on Sept. 16, 2014.

“Anomaly 2” is a sequel to the critically acclaimed “Anomaly Warzone Earth.” Maintaining the core elements of the original, “Anomaly 2” adds new features to the single-player campaign and finally puts your skills to a test in a completely unique experience: the dynamic tower defense vs. tower offense multiplayer mode.

In the years following the invasion of Earth in 2018, the planet has been overrun by alien machines. Humankind is on the verge of extinction. Traveling together in huge convoys, they search the frozen tundra for food and supplies. Since the war, the roles have been reversed: now our species seems to be the Anomaly on a machine-controlled planet. Your convoy, Commander, is called Yukon.
