‘Furious 7’ (2015) review: Revved-up revenge

High-octane ‘Furious 7’ does well to honor Walker’s memory

Fourteen years. Until just recently, I hadn’t been aware of how long the wildly popular “Fast & Furious” franchise has been speeding along. I’ll be the first to admit the series isn’t high on my list of favorites, but I have seen them all for some inexplicable reason.

Well, I guess it’s not too difficult to explain: They’re fun.

Like, outrageously fun. The type of fun you don’t get when watching a soon-to-be classic like “Boyhood” or “Birdman.” No, the kind of fun where — after you just spend two hours watching fast cars, good-looking people and crazy antics — you find yourself jazzed and wanting to find a fast car.
